Aaron Pexa, Artist-in-Residence

Corning Museum of Glass

Gallery artist, Aaron Pexa, recently completed a residency at the Corning Museum of GlassPexa was chosen to pursue the development of a new body of work based around the notion of "werifesteria," an Old English term that means to wander longingly through the forest in search of mystery. The centerpiece for this installation was a stop-motion animation video incorporating pate de verre scenery and hot sculpted glass elements. Pexa also created glass artifacts to enhance the narrative arc of experiencing the video installation.

All work was created in the Artist in Residence Program at The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass, in Corning, New York.

Aaron was featured on the Corning website. In addition he was selected as one of 100 artists to participate in the Corning Museum of Glass exhibition New Glass Now.
